The 2012 Women’s World Fastpitch Championship will take place in Whitehorse, Yukon which is part of northern Canada. The city will host teams from 16 different countries from 13-22 July 2012. The event is hosted by Softball Yukon.
Whitehorse has considerable experience hosting major softball events and has a vibrant softball community. Whitehorse has also hosted a number of major sporting events in the past, including the 2008 ISF Junior Men’s Fast Pitch Championships and the 2007 Canada Winter Games. The 2008 championship saw 12 teams from every continent participate.
